Eugene Lang College Lobby Renovation: Immersive Environmental Design

I designed a comprehensive immersive environmental graphic system for Eugene Lang College's lobby renovation—creating total coverage custom wallpaper and signage that transformed the primary student community space. I led design development and presented concepts directly to students, faculty, administration, cafe operator, and facilities teams throughout the eight-month process.

The design challenge involved creating visual identity that honored Lang's distinctive liberal arts character while maintaining connection to The New School's broader brand architecture. I developed a typographic system based on Neue Irma, integrated with overlapping stripe patterns representing interdisciplinary academics, and incorporated student-selected book titles from the new Millimeter Reading Room throughout the immersive environmental graphics.
